Some can call the "Gossip Gang-star" one of the pioneers behind the entire cause of lifting the ban against Proposition 8. For it was Perez who as a judge during the 2008 Miss America Pageant asked then-Miss California Carrie Prejean the fateful question of whether she agreed with same-sex marriage. Prejean's response of non-support towards same-sex marriage created an uproar amongst the American public and caused many to protest her answer, calling for a retraction. Prejean refused, and soon after was stripped of her crown when her nude photos were leaked to the public. This very event led to many famous faces posing for NOH8, including former Miss California Shanna Moakler. So it was only fitting that Papacito Perez himself pose for Adam Bouska's NOH8, because without his "question heard around the world," NOH8 may not have had such a strong following! Kudos to Perez for always standing up for what he believes in!
